I have low blood pressure and Lisonopril was prescribed. the information sheet indicates that it is for high blood pressure, with no mention of low blood pressure.

A friend was recently diagnosed as having high blood pressure and low blood pressure, have tried looking for more information via google but am having no luck. Can anyone help explain this?

My mom “says” she has/had low blood pressure, and what she does to
“Help” her blood pressure and keep it stable is take Guinness (stout beer), she says it’s a “tonic” that helps her body build blood, and that’s why she drinks it!
But she drinks at least one Guinness a day! And I think it’s more of an addiction she has, but she says it’s for “medicinal purposes”.
I think its all BULL SHI-T
So does this Guinness-stout actually help her, and how does it help her, please explain!

Or if you think you have any relative information about Stout, low blood pressure, tonics or any thing related to me finding a reason why she doesn’t need to drink one Guinness a day or even drink Guinness period!

Even if you know other drinks, natural foods/fruits/vegetables or methods of helping her!
Please let me know!

im 16 as of december last year, im 145 pounds, and about 6ft 8in and i went on a bmi Calculator thing and it said i was under weight. but im shore its wrong cause i thought id be the slightest over because i have some fat on my stomach (ben trying to get rid of it forever) and my legs have a bit more fat than id like. i have low blood pressure. iv ben trying to loose weight but i think this bmi thing says i should be gaining weight. i ride my bicycle every day for 2 miles and i joined the track team. i need advice or have someone explain this better to me cause im not shore what to do now. should i gain weight, loose weight, work out more, see a doctor, or some thing else?

I am 18 years old 5′5” and 155LB. I have asked this question already but now I have information from my clinic and am more confused…

So, Obviously 80/52 is extremely low and at my last doctor visit he told me that its so low that most people would be on their backs, i told him my side effects and he did not say much, just to drink lots of water. Okay, i have low blood pressure. but im confused now because the other ones are not low and i think they are at the normal level.

my side effects are cold hands and feet ALL the time. I have minor aches and pains with my muscles. And the most weird thing is that my tongue can fall asleep with a tingly sharp feeling.

any information is great. i am seeking this because doctors don’t tell patients much…

I’m sick right now, fever, stuffy nose, aches….the usual cold. This is my husbands account, don’t feel like logging off to log onto my account cause I don’t feel good and can care less right now.

When I stand up, doesn’t matter if it is slow or fast I’ve done both, my head feels like it’s going to explode and I get really dizzy. I have unusually low blood pressure, don’t know if that means anything but my mom mentioned it is probably a blood pressure issue? What can I do to help it if it is?
Oh yeah, It hurts my head on one side only.
And nowhere near my sinus’s

I went to the doctor after fainting a couple of weeks ago, and the doctor had my blood pressure checked. I had a blood pressure of 80 over 60. He didn’t say much about it, so I figured I’m fine. But I was talking to one of my friends, and she said that she had a higher blood pressure than I did, and her doctor told her that she has low blood pressure.
So do I have low blood pressure? I need to know what number is considered low blood pressure.

Some more information that may affect the answer:
I am 14 1/2 years old
I weigh around 135 lbs (she probably weighs a little less)
I am male
I am appx. anywhere from 5′6” to 5′10” (my friend is the same height)

what’s a low blood pressure reading that you should seek emergency help, mine is 90/50 and whats the lowest it can go?
